Meet Ruby (not the programming language)
March 14th, 2007 by Peter Glyman

RubyWe are excited to announce that Ruthann “Ruby DeGutis has recently joined the growing Geezeo team as our Social Marketing Manager. Previously Ruthann worked as the Director of Representatives at i2hub, a file sharing service that utilized the Internet2 network and expanded to over 400 universities globally. i2hub was designed and intended for the use and collaboration of university and college students. During her time at i2hub, she created and implemented a representative program to promote the service in each locale. Before i2hub was shut down (a badge of honor) by the RIAA she was able to recruit representatives from around the nation. Due to the peer-to-peer marketing efforts of those representatives, i2hub became number one in its field. Ruthann also provided key website analysis to improve user conversion rates not only for i2hub, but on stallscribbles.com, a college confessional site, and a partner popular social networking site.

“Understanding, and personally enjoying, the current trend in web 2.0 technology, I’m excited to help make Geezeo a fun, interactive place for its users. I have no doubt that Geezeo’s college brand ambassador program will play a key role in helping college students and recent grads easily understand and better manage their finances.

“If you’re the fun, social, outgoing type who can’t have enough friends, and wants to learn more about becoming a Geezeo brand ambassador at your college, please email me at rdegutis@geezeo.com

As well as loving her new job, Ruthann enjoys hanging out with Wayne (her boyfriend), friends, family, and her little Pomeranian puppy, Booboo. (we’ll be seeing more of Booboo)

She likes watching movies and going out dancing. While attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst (majoring in Communication), she lived abroad in Beijing, China. Now she travels to Taiwan whenever possible, taking in all the local culture, and cuisine!
