I am a Financial Planner. That said, your obsession with paying off your mortgage may not necesarily be in your best interests. If all goes well, you win! If life happens while you are proceeding, the consequences can be financially disaterous. Find a good local financial planner and sit with him/her to discuss your plans and the risks that can derail you! Then make whatever adjustments that YOU are comfortable with.
