		<description>The initial start up cost is the big factor.  For most people they just can&#039;t afford it, even if they were 100% committed to the idea.

Governments need to act NOW to bring the price of solar to a reasonable level.  Heck, they could just start mass producing and installing them if they really wanted to.

I have a feeling that lack of appropriate rebates and incentives will be seen by future generations as the equivalent of the crew of the Titanic deciding they were  unable to afford to patch the hole in the side of the ship.  After all, it was still floating after it hit the iceberg, so why worry?
