He has had every opportunity in the world to make something of himself and his 3 engineering degrees. He didn’t have any medical condition that made it impossible for him to work, he didn’t have any great disaster in his life that forced him out of the job sector, and he certainly did not have any reason to quit the job he had at CalTech and travel around unemployed for a few years. I don’t believe my site is any more ridiculous than his is. I don’t have any affiliation to Sallie Mae and personally pay about a quarter of my paycheck every month towards my student loans. I take no pleasure in seeing people struggle with their debt. I simply think that Alan Collinge made bad choices and now wants to change the rules. All I ask is that people read up on the guy and form their decisions about him from an honest place, not just because he might be able to save them from student loan debt.
