Resolution Round-up : 4 Links to Help You Get Started
December 10th, 2008 by Amber Jones

The time is almost here to put your plans into action when it comes to your New Years Resolutions.  That’s why it is important to plan them out now, with some definite strategies for achieving these goals.

Here are what some of the personal finance bloggers are talking about when it comes to resolutions:

“it is time to begin thinking about all those new year resolutions, the current state of the economy, personal finance and personal status and how we can make life better for ourselves in the coming year.”

Get Rich Slick said this in a recent blog entitled Planning For New Year Resolutions.  Sounds like we match up pretty well in our thinking on getting started on mapping out our goals. Check out what his goals were for this year, and keep an eye out for him to post his goals for 2009!

No Credit Needed posted some good advice on his blog back in November.  He urges us to not wait until January 1st to make your financial resolutions. Again, we couldn’t agree more!

Alex Shalman wrote a great post on Dumb Litte Man reminding us:

“Each year we all gather as a species and proclaim some heroic New Year’s resolutions. Sadly enough, hardly any of these resolutions ever make it out of the drawing room. The good news is, you don’t have to wait until the end of the year in order to take a step in the right direction.”

So true Alex.  It’s important to have goals all throughout the year, and it’s fine to jump in wherever you are.  We welcome you to set up some goals here on Geezeo.  We make tracking them painless.

Amie Cunningham at Suite101.com gives us a list on the proposed Top 10 New Year’s resolutions for 2009. Not surprising, “Getting Out of Debt” is number one on the list.  Thank goodness Geezeo is here to help!

If you have started on a list for your New Years Resolutions, let us know about your plans.  It’s always nice to have a community of people ready to help you out and encourage you to keep going.
