There’s a lot happening in the Geezeo community, and we like to make it a bit easier to connect with other users.  Check out this weeks hot topics!

HWaters visited TJ-Maxx, and found that they had several pairs of Seven Jeans!  “In the juniors section, Seven Jeans didn’t go above the price of $29.99. And even then, in the adult section, the prices are $79.99 which is still a significant amount lower than the normal prices!! I even got one pair of capris on clearance for $15.00!”  Great find!  It’s definitely worth it to check out stores such as TJ-Maxx and Ross.  You are bound to find some great deals!  However, don’t sacrifice on quality just because you feel as though you are saving a bundle on something that is usually marked higher. Shopgirl1357 says: “I have learned that it is better to buy good quality that fits well than to buy something just for a label.”  Are you a shop-o-holic?  Tell us about yourself!

Are you looking for some new books to add to your reading list?  Jnkay just finished two novels by two former business journalists, “The White Tiger” and “The Space Between Us.”  She says: “Really fascinating examinations of the servant class in India’s rising economy.”  Do you have any suggestions for our users?  Please give us your reading list!

User meanolfart asked our expert Farnoosh if he should dilute what he currently owns by buying additional stocks, or buy some additional stocks.  “Right now all dividends are reinvested (DRIPS) But soon I will want a steady income.”  Check out the other circumstances surrounding this question, as well as what Farnoosh will advise.

Are you concerned about security here at Geezeo?  We understand.  Sometimes it’s nice to hear from other users tho, and see what they think about the site.  PoorGradStudent says: “I think the site is secure and you really only need to add bank accounts you want tracked (for example, I have my checking, savings and main credit card, but not my Macy’s card or my IRA account linked). The thing I like about this site most is the community aspect and the “marketplace” to find new bank, credit card and investment offers. In your budget you can indicate when a bill is due and how often it appears (weekly, monthly, etc.).”

  1. Selina L. Says:

Debt adds unnecessary expense and risks to your personal finances. In a general economic downturn, when investments will lose value and be sold at a discount to intrinsic value, you are more likely to become unemployed. If you cannot secure debt financing, you may be forced to liquidate your investments and retirement funds at a discount, a position you do not want to be in. I have been getting considerably depressed over legislatures deciding against payday loans and our current economy. It seems like industries in every corner are in need of emergency cash as the unemployment rate continues to rise. Therefore, I decided to go on a search for something that offers hope. Apparently, the recession somehow provides increased profits to some industries such as discount, retail and fast food. Particularly, places with dollar menus are doing very well. There is hope for the better. If you are tired of listening to the same depressing story, find out which industry is thriving economically and why they are not in need of emergency cash on the payday loans blog.
