Here’s your weekly community fix!

Confessions:

• I saw “confessions of a shopaholic” today and I left so depressed that I didn’t have 1/2 as many shoes as she did!! Grrr!!  (I think most of us are wishing we had her closet at times!)
• just paid off my car!  (Woohoo!  Great job!)
• I dont know how i will pay rent this month… (Unfortunately, there are probably many in your shoes.  You will manage, I am sure!)
  
• 6 credit cards, 3 mortgages, 2 car loans, 1 student loan left, and no savings account… merry f’n xmas (No time like the present to change all of this!)
• I don’t want to go out to lunch for a month! What a money waster! (Yes it is definitely a money waster!)
  
• I spent WAY too much money at Sports Authority on Running Gear. Did I really need reflector wristbands? Ouch. (Have you figured out if you need them yet?)
• When I’m Bored I Shop. When I’m Depressed I Shop. When I (…) I Shop! Help. (Retail therapy…)
• I spend almost as much on overdraft charges as I do on food. I’ve got to stop the cycle!(I’m curious, how much do you spend on food?)
  
• We spend 90% of our income on credit cards bills, and it SUX.(Do you purchase most items on credit and then pay those bills?  Why not just stick to a debit card?)
  
• I own my laptop computer today. Just paid off Aaron’s 5 months early! So much interest saved! (Congratulations!)
• It killed me but I decided to get back into my 401k. 2% is better than nothing. (That’s great!  You gotta start – again – somewhere.)
• I’m addicted to my car. I love driving, and therefore spend a small fortune in gas every week. (At least gas is not as high as it was not that long ago.)
• When I freak out about my money, I buy a pack of cigarettes. (Nervous habit?)
• My parked car was hit by an uninsured driver with no license…I have no idea how I’m going to pay for this…(Oh no!  Maybe consider getting coverage for that type of incident.  I know, too little too late now.  But it’s out there, so maybe you should look into it?)
  
• When I get to many bills and feel like I am drowning I spend money on myself or my children, even knowing I shouldn’t and then I feel bad. (Mind over matter.  You can do this!)
