Geezeo Confessions and Conversations

One confession caught our attention this week.  A user wrote: “why the heck my Geezeo accounts are so messed up… I just want them to work”

We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with your accounts.  There could be a few things that could affect your accounts,  and usually, with the help of our support team, you can easily resolve these issues rather quickly.

We wanted to share some reminders when it comes to your accounts and how to get started using Geezeo.

To add an account, please take the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Geezeo account.
  2. On your “Dashboard” page, click the blue button labeled “Add an Account”.
  3. You will be re-directed to another page, there will be a search box will under where it says “Setup your accounts:”. Type your bank’s name into that box and hit enter. Please note that you need to type at least 3 letters for it to work.
  4. Wait a second and a list should automatically appear below the box. Click the account that is applicable choice.
  5. Next you should be prompted to enter your login credentials for that institution.
  6. Enter your login and password just as you would when visiting your bank’s online site (some require more information).
  7. After you have put in the correct information click “Login to Bank”. Then follow the next steps as prompted.
  8. Repeat for other financial institutions.

Remember that it can take several moments for Geezeo to bring in your information.  Next you will see your account information under “Accounts”.  If you have multiple accounts with one financial institution, all account balances should automatically be uploaded.

Now, if after adding your accounts, you experience issues with anything (like your balances being incorrect or your transactions not showing up), there is an easy way to attempt to fix the problem.  First you may want to try to re-establish a connection to your bank:

  1. Log into your Geezeo account.
  2. Click on your account in your left side navigation bar.  You will be directed to the transactions page.
  3. Click on “Change Login Credentials” (one of the small gray links under your account’s name).
  4. Type in your Username and Password (as you would when logging into your bank’s website). Wait a few moments.
  5. Answer your security question and click “Finalize”.

If this still does not correct your problem, please let us know by creating a support ticket.  Our support team would be glad to assist you in fixing any problem you may have.  We will get back to you within 24 hours (usually sooner, except on weekends).
