What Price Beauty: Bigfoot’s Big Bill
By Sean Leviashvili | MainStreet.com
A Yeti carcass is currently resting in an undisclosed area in Georgia. At least that’s what a pair of Bigfoot hunters, Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, revealed last week when they claimed to have found and dragged the body of a deceased Yeti, which is more than 500 pounds and 7 feet 7 inches tall, from a remote wooden area to a large freezer.
The two men also told The New York Times (NYT) that other Yetis exist in the area. But before one of these furry creatures emerges from the forest to cash in with an appearance on Oprah or Larry King, he may want to look into a bit of a wardrobe and cosmetic redo.
Laser Hair Removal:
Four to six trips under the laser will significantly reduce the amount of hair that grows back in a designated region, according to www.hairlasers.com. However, the procedure is not foolproof, and eliminating hair is not guaranteed. “It’s impossible to say that six treatments will get rid of the hair,” says David J. Goldberg, a dermatologist who specializes in skin lasers, cosmetic dermatology and facial rejuvenation techniques. However, it is likely that the reduction will be visible. “It’s a good starting point,” he adds.
This doesn’t come cheap, and Bigfoot requires a heavy dose. “Everyone requires a different type of treatment based on their skin, hair color, and texture,” Goldberg says. “Someone like Bigfoot would definitely need more than six treatments.”
A full body procedure takes approximately one hour to complete and more often than not, doctors will not charge per area, but lump the sums together.
Price: $8-10,000 for six treatments
The Eyebrows:
Waxing could work, and so could tweezers. But Bigfoot would most benefit from the current trend of threading. Threading lasts up to two weeks, and is done by grasping the hair with a piece of thread and pulling from its root. This is especially effective on thick hair, a plus for Bigfoot.
Price: $7
Apparel:
Where would Bigfoot pick up his new suit? Why, Big & Tall, of course. He’ll have the luxury of choosing between a variety of suits at this specialty shop, but they’ll come at a price. Because Bigfoot is believed to be 7-12 feet tall and 300-1,000 lbs, alterations and excess material are a must!
Price: $1,200 to $5,000
Shoes:
Bigfoot only goes custom when it comes to footwear. Real Shoes Experts www.custommadeshoes.net, based in St. Louis will custom a pair of kicks by obtaining a negative image of the foot, and then forming a cast around it. “Long feet are usually not the problem,” says John Chereji, company owner. “Wide or disfigured feet, however, often require some form of binding and casting.”
Price: $450-850
Total Price For Bigfoot’s Makeover:
$9,657-15,857
